What a busy (and musical) weekend.
Friday, I played with double-breasted for a private event in the Montclair Art Museum in Montclair, NJ.
Saturday, I played with Hey Tiger at the Bloomfield HarvestFest in Bloomfield, NJ.
I loved watching this guy bust a move!
Then on Sunday, I got together with double-breasted to begin shooting a new music video for our song, “You Never Said Goodbye.” Here are some pictures I took as we shot the video. The “it could rain any second” weather on Sunday really lent itself quite well to the ominous mood of the song and video.
I took a trip out to Cedar Knolls, NJ last week to visit the WDHA FM studios with Hey Tiger. We did an interview and live video performance for Lindsay Klein’s new blog spotlighting NJ original music. The interview and performance should be posted in a few weeks. In the meantime, here’s a photo of us with Lindsay:

Thanks to John Pfeiffer for this great article about double-breasted in the Aquarian Weekly.
The first thing that struck me about this trio was the name. I thought they might be a cover band as they have two girls in the group and an obvious moniker. You know, that old chestnut. Turns out what really got me were the cool combination of drums, cello and harp. Not a harmonica player blowing up behind some guitar player mind you, but a full-blown 6-foot, 46-string harp. Something I’ve never seen used as a lead instrument in a rock band before. No standard stringed instruments were anywhere onstage and as odd as it is, it seems it works perfectly…
double-breasted is currently in the studio working on our next collection of songs. Here’s a sneak peak into live-tracking the drums via a video taken with my iPhone. Kristy and Ardith are in an isolation room with the harp and cello, so all you can hear are the drums. You’ll just have to wait for the full recording to hear everything together. Enjoy.
