Toward the end of 2014, I spent time out on the end of Long Island in Montauk. It was off-season. The air was cool and crisp. The sun was low in the sky and the light it cast was beautiful. I brought my DSLR camera and did my best to capture the beauty of it all. The result is my new photography collection, Montauk in December.
Update: Unfortunately, this show had to be cancelled due to Shayfer losing his voice from an upper respiratory infection. I will let you know if there’s a reschedule date.

I finished up the week with a unique show on Saturday, March 21st – A Guitar Pull sponsored by blowupradio.com. I had a fantastic time getting to meet and share the stage with David Bronson and Mike Regrets.
We took turns playing songs, talking about writing, recording, and everything in between. I always enjoy playing at Espresso Joe’s. Not only because they hosted my photography for a month back in November, but because the audience is top notch. They sit, listen, and pay attention to the show for the entire duration. It’s such a joy to see places like this still exist and I’m always so happy to play there.

After my set, there’s another show happening in the neighborhood at Rockwood Music Hall. My friend Adam McDonough is in town from Nashville. I played drums for his CD Release Party. I’m planning on heading to his show right after my set.
Back in January, I wrote a post called Writing Is Rewriting. It referenced a new song called “Walking On.”
Today, I’m happy to debut that song for you as a video. The song has a bluesy, porch stomper vibe to it. I hope you enjoy it!
