Canal Day Recap
Kristy couldn’t be there, so Ardith and I represented 2/3 double-breasted (single-breasted?) at Canal Day this past Saturday. I stepped out from behind the drum kit to play guitar. Our setlist was a fun one… Josh songs, double-breasted songs, and cover songs that spanned a wide range of folk tunes made popular by Pete Seeger to Britney Spears to 80s classics. It was a great turnout and a great time.
Here we are playing under the gazebo.
Here is Ardith making some setlist notes.
Ardith will be joining me for another show at Pianos Upstairs Lounge in NYC on Thursday, August 27th. 7pm. Don’t miss it!

Recap – double-breasted at Wharton Concert Series 07/19/15
Wharton Spring Concert Series. Hugh Force Canal Park. Wharton, NJ. July 19, 2015.
This was technically the “Spring” concert series. But after the first date was cancelled due to rain, the reschedule date wound up on the hottest day of the year so far! I sweated through my shirt entirely, but nonetheless had a blast playing outdoors in a beautiful setting for a super attentive crowd.
We are playing a wedding this weekend and then our next show is on Wednesday, August 19th in Cape May, NJ at the historic Chalfonte Hotel.
Recap of double-breasted at the Art Factory 06.04.15
Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of playing with Kristy and Ardith for a private event at the Art Factory in Paterson, NJ.
Here is Kristy, soundchecking her mic.
Ardith soundchecking her cello.
We had a blast.

Canal Day Recap
Two Saturdays ago, we celebrated the Morris Canal with food and music. We saw some familiar faces and made some new friends. Thank you to all who attended.
Here was double-breasted’s setlist, though we did make some edits along the way.
And here was my view from behind the drum kit.
Thanks again to the Canal Day organizers – especially John Manna – for having us back. You’re doing great things for the community and it’s been fun to see it grow each year!
Recap of Cape May Performance

The Chalfonte is always great about putting up signs and advertising the performance.
We had a great turnout and an attentive audience.
Here was the view from behind the drums (pre-show).
Here was the setlist.
And here we are after the show in the King Edward Bar!
Bonus: You can watch a clip of our cover of A Great Big World’s “Say Something.” I’ve embedded it below, but in case you can’t see it, you can also watch it on Facebook here.

Recap from Last Weekend’s Music Den Performance
I performed last Sunday with double-breasted to celebrate the Music Den’s milestone of being in business for 30 years. I wrote a bit about the importance of this store as part of my own musical upbringing in this post. It was a humid afternoon where rain was threatened, but it held off and we had a nice outdoor performance for a good crowd.
Here is a photo of the three of us.
And here is the setlist.
Don’t miss upcoming double-breasted performances next month:
- Wednesday, August 13th in Cape May, NJ
- Saturday, August 23rd in Wharton, NJ
